BT Group’s Warrington office is to relocate to Stanford House in Birchwood, near Warrington in a deal concluded by property consultants JLL.
BT will occupy the whole building having agreed a ten-year lease with landlord Warrington Borough Council. They will move in to the building in April 2021, following an extensive refurbishment, to create a state-of-the-art office environment.
Liz Needleman, BT Group regional lead for the North of England, said: “Our investment in a new office is a real sign of BT’s commitment to Warrington as well as the region generally.
“I’m so pleased we are able to announce this investment at a time when it’s more important than ever to demonstrate our confidence in the region’s ability to make a sustainable recovery from the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.”
Richard Wharton, director in JLL’s office agency team, added: “Stanford House was selected following an extensive search and will provide a fit for purpose workplace for BT’s Warrington team.
“Positively, this deal shows the property market has reopened and we are now seeing an upturn in viewings and enquiries across the North West.”
Stanford House is located off Birchwood Park Avenue within Birchwood and adjacent to the Warrington Borough Council owned Birchwood Park. It is situated strategically between Liverpool and Manchester at the intersection of the M62 and M6 motorways.
