The landmark £150 million Bridgwater Gateway business park in Somerset is to add Costa Coffee to its facilities.
Detailed planning permission has been granted for a Costa Coffee Drive-Thru to be located at the entrance to the 120 acre development, near J24 of the M5, which is being marketed by the Bristol office of global real estate advisor Colliers International.
Phil Wade, of developers and landlords Bridgwater Gateway Limited commented: “We are delighted to welcome Costa Coffee, which will bring an added facility to occupiers of the park.
“Construction on site is expected to commence next month, with Costa Coffee opening up in the spring”.
A spokesman for Costa Coffee added: “We’re delighted to confirm our partnership with Bridgwater Gateway Limited as we look to open our new Costa Coffee drive-thru on the Bridgwater Gateway Business Park next year.
“We look forward serving customers their favourite barista crafted coffee, and playing an active role in the local community.”
The mixed-use commercial development features prime industrial space from 5,000 sq ft to 300,000 sq ft; Grade A office space from 5,000 sq ft to 32,000 sq ft; and retail units from 1,453 sq ft to 1,614 sq ft.
Bridgwater Gateway already has a 100-bed Premier Inn hotel on site, and when completed facilities at the landscaped site will include a wildlife pond and picnic areas, as well as a fitness trail, boules and outdoor table tennis.
Tom Watkins, head of the industrial and logistics team in the Bristol office of Colliers International, said: “The arrival of Costa Coffee marks another milestone in the development of Bridgwater Gateway.
“It will add to the attractions of this strategically located site, which offers superb opportunities for occupiers seeking prime industrial and Grade A office space within convenient reach of the M5 motorway and the Hinkley Point C power station.”
