Joinery giant Howdens has landed a 10,000 sq ft brand new warehouse/trade counter space on a half acre site at Harrier Court, Eagle Business Park in Yaxley, Peterborough where Barker Storey Matthews (now part of Eddisons) is the sole agent.
This is Howdens third Peterborough store and new jobs will be created.
Terms were agreed at the end of last month (July) on a new 15-year lease for Units 1 & 2 Harrier Court. It is the latest in a succession of deals announced by Barker Storey Matthews on this latest phase of Eagle Business Park and sees Harrier Court fully occupied.
Eagle Business Park is on Broadway, Yaxley and is close to Junction 16 of the A1(M) at Norman Cross and onward connections to Peterborough’s Parkway system.
According to the agent, the two completed development phases of Eagle Business Park have played a leading role in re-positioning commercial, industrial property opportunities on the southern side of Peterborough.
Richard Jones, of Barker Storey Matthews’ Peterborough office, explains, “Eagle Business Park and the nearby Discovery Park – both developed by Barnack Estates Ltd – are offering modern, purpose built premises to meet ongoing industrial occupier demand from a range of operators.
“National occupiers such as Screwfix at Discovery Park, and now Howdens at Harrier Court at Eagle Business Park, raise the commercial profile of the southern side of the Peterborough.
“The presence of national brands boosts that of local and regional independent trade counter and light industrial occupiers who are also in position at these now established business locations.”
