Commercial property consultancy Innes England has won the contract to manage ng2, one of Nottingham’s premier business parks.
The award-winning 45-acre development on Queen’s Drive combines a series of large iconic headquarter office buildings together with smaller pavilion-style units known as The Triangle, which is home to Innes England’s Nottingham office.
Gary Woodward, Head of Property Asset Management at Innes England, said: “ng2 is the city’s prime edge-of-town business park, occupied by several international businesses. We are hugely excited at being appointed to deliver stand-out management and occupier experiences to major organisations like Experian, Specsavers, cyber security specialists Nexor and Pentland, the company behind Speedo, Mitre and Canterbury.
“We relish the opportunity to help the development reach its full potential and be a valuable asset for all involved.”
The brainchild of developer Miller Birch, the business park was created from a brownfield site which previously housed Royal Ordnance. The closure of the gun factory cleared the way for up to one million sq ft of office space.
Data giant Experian was the first company to announce it was consolidating various offices around the city to move to ng², completing its flagship building which dominates the entrance to the park in 2005.
Andy Nuttall, Associate Director at Innes England, will be the main point of contact for tenants of the business park. He added: “I’m looking forward to building lasting relationships with the occupiers and owners so we can ensure that the site fulfils their varying needs.
“It’s a large site in a city that has been named the cleanest in the UK for air quality. It incorporates many sustainable design principles, including a ‘grey’ water system and energy-efficient buildings so, as well as providing the usual management services, we’ll be looking at ways to maintain and enhance environmental features.”
Alongside providing property management services, Innes England will continue to act as joint letting and disposal agents for the remaining plots.
Craig Straw, Director and Head of Business Space at Innes England, oversees disposals at the site. He said: “We’ve worked with Miller Birch for a number of years on ng2 providing development advice, marketing and disposal services. The park is superbly located on the NET tram system which connects it to the city centre and motorway park and rides.”
“The park quickly established itself as one of the most sought-after business addresses in Nottingham and our combined property management and business space teams will be working hard to achieve the best mix of tenants and facilities to ensure it maintains its reputation as a leading-edge business park.”
A spokesperson for Miller Birch said: “Occupiers are the cornerstone of any development and we wanted an independent agent who could understand occupier requirements to take the development forward.
“We know from our existing relationship with Innes England that they have the expertise, skills and diligence to deliver outstanding service.”
