Specialist senior living developer Charterpoint has completed the sale of a care home site in Louth, Lincolnshire, to LNT Care Developments Ltd.
In April, East Lindsey District Council approved plans for the two-storey, 66-bed care home which will be built on a plot alongside the residential development at Westfield Park, off Grimsby Road.
Plans for the purpose-built residential care home on the 2.2 acre site include individual rooms with en-suite facilities, communal spaces for socialising, dining and recreational use, car parking, landscaping, and a secure bike store.
In a deal brokered by Christie & Co, Charterpoint has now sold the site to LNT Care Developments, which has a portfolio of care homes specifically for the care of older people in a number of locations across Yorkshire, the Midlands and the South.
Adrian Goose, Chief Executive of Nottingham-based Charterpoint Group, said: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of this superb site on the edge of Louth. It is in an ideal situation – the perfect place to build a modern care home offering excellent facilities to residents.
“Operator demand for care home development opportunities has proved resilient pointing to an accelerating trend for purpose-built facilities.”
Jordan Rundle, Associate Director at Christie & Co who handled transaction, comments: “This site is ideally located for a new purpose-built care home being situated opposite the Louth County Hospital, close to town centre amenities and adjacent to the Lincolnshire Wolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Christie & Co are delighted to have brokered the sale to LNT on behalf of Charterpoint Senior Living and we look forward to working with both parties again in the near future.”
Charterpoint, which is based at Edwalton near Nottingham, specialises in developing first-class senior living accommodation, sustainable housing schemes, and primary care premises. The company masterminded the residential element of the development at Westfield Park, along with the care home proposals.
