In response to the latest Welsh Government financial announcements including the Start-Up Fund and phase 2 of the Economic Resilience Fund, Heather Myers, CEO of South and Mid Wales Chamber of Commerce, comments:
“The new start-up grant is a welcome and positive move to support a key section of the business community in Wales that, to date, has fallen through the gaps. Wales has a very strong start-up community and an entrepreneurial spirit; this fund recognises the very valuable contribution made by start-up businesses in Wales who collectively offer large employment and routes to work for many.
“We also welcome the extension of the Economic Resilience Fund, which reopened yesterday, to support small businesses, social enterprises and charities. We encourage businesses to check their eligibility to find out if they qualify for funding and apply.”
