CBRE has confirmed that it has re-opened its Southampton office, as of yesterday, 15th June.
The leading global real estate firm is introducing staff back in a phased approach and in accordance with Government guidance. The announcement follows on from a statement issued last month detailing how CBRE has commenced building inspections and viewings on behalf of clients in line with Government and RICS compliant procedures which prioritise the safety and wellbeing of staff and clients.
The Southampton office will follow CBRE’s internal guidelines for office re-opening which include complying with local government requirements; adapting space to ensure social distancing; adhering to cleaning and hygiene supply protocols and posting instructional signage.
Bringing employees back to the office has been based on factors that include community readiness, work-from-home options, commuting issues and consideration for any employees who may be at-risk.
James Brounger, Managing Director of CBRE’s South Central business, said:
“All the Southampton service lines teams have worked incredibly hard over the last few months and, whilst we have worked very effectively from home, it is great to be able to reopen our office.
“The technologies CBRE has in place have played a vital role during lockdown, allowing us to find new and innovative ways of working, enabling us to stay in touch with, and support, colleagues, clients and suppliers.
“Our return will be phased in over the coming weeks and I am looking forward to welcoming the team back to the office.”
