Agents at Harris Lamb have let a Redditch industrial unit to a specialist equipment hire firm.
Specialist equipment hirers, Edge Equipment Hire have signed a 5-year lease on Unit 9 at Lakeside Industrial Estate, bringing the estate close to full capacity.
This well established business has relocated from its existing head office within the town to the new 6,800sq ft facility at the estate.
Neil Slade, Director, said: “This is a popular estate within the region, extending to over 200,000 sqft over 17 units. The landlord has invested in a rolling refurbishment programme to maintain and improve buildings as they became available, ensuring strong interest at the site.
“Edge Equipment Hire specialises in the supply of specialist equipment rental to the UK Damage Restoration Industry to support infrastructure and premises recovery in the aftermath of flood, fire and trauma. Edge has seven UK depots including its Redditch head office. The company required larger premises to relocate its HQ to and the high level of refurbishment at Lakeside, teamed with its good access, made this office and warehouse opportunity an ideal site.
“Despite Covid-19 we have been able to complete this letting quickly and the business is currently in the process of relocating to the site,” he added.
