A leading DIY and home improvement chain is set to launch a new outlet in Birmingham as it continues its UK expansion.
Agents at property consultancy Harris Lamb have been acting for landlords, CBRE Global Investors at Frankley Industrial Estate on Tay Road to identify tenants for the newly refurbished site, and have secured Toolstation as the latest occupier for the park.
The retailer, which currently has more than 400 UK outlets, has signed a 10-year lease on Unit 20, a 4,830 sq ft trade counter opportunity.
Tom Morley, who oversaw the letting, said: “We are delighted to have secured Toolstation as the latest occupier at this very popular site. Toolstation is a great fit for the estate, where neighbours will include Screwfix and Howdens.
“The retailer was attracted to Frankley IE because of the high standard of refurbishment it has recently undergone, the secure CCTV-protected environment provided for tenants, and its central location.
“The estate benefits from extensive loading and car parking areas for suppliers and customers alike, and its proximity to the motorway network and Birmingham City Centre make it a great regional outlet for the brand.”
Adept Consultancy acted for Toolstation.
The unit is currently being fitted out by Toolstation and is expected to open at the end of the month.
