A Midland law firm has been nominated for a major award at the first time of asking.
Leamington Spa solicitors Wright Hassall has been shortlisted for the Regional Law Firm of the Year at the British Legal Awards 2012 after entering the running for the prestigious gong for the first time.
The awards received a record number of submissions this year and Wright Hassall is the only Midlands-based solicitors to make it onto the shortlist of six in their category.
The 220-strong firm was included after demonstrating impressive innovation and development across the board as well as sustained growth and excellent levels of customer care.
The awards ceremony, which will also crown national and international firms of the year, takes place at the Old Billingsgate Market in London on Thursday, November 22.
Nick Abell, senior partner at Wright Hassall, believes this nomination is testament to the firm’s attention to detail in all areas.
He said: “This is the first time we have entered a submission for these awards. To be the only firm in the region to have been nominated in a year when submissions increased by 10 per cent is a fantastic achievement.
“The judges are looking for excellence across the shortlisted firms – high levels of innovation, strong financial performance, excellent client care and a commitment to your employees and the local communities in which you operate.
“I think the fact that we’ve won a number of new clients this year has really added to the strength of our submission.
“It goes to show that it is not just the big City law firms that can offer the highest level of service and there is good value to be found in our industry.”
