Studio production company Pirate Studios has leased a 41,470 sq ft industrial unit on the Patchway Trading Estate in north Bristol.
The company, which was formed in Bristol, operates fully automated, self-service, 24 hour music and rehearsal studios, and now has nearly 400 studio rooms in 26 locations across the UK, Ireland, Germany and the USA.
It has leased Unit 1 Highwood Road on a new 10 year lease. Landlord Coal Pension Properties Ltd was advised in the transaction by property consultancy Knight Frank.
Rhys Jones of Knight Frank’s Industrial & Logistics division in Bristol said: “This is a prominent detached warehouse with a large secure yard, located in one of the South West’s best distribution locations in close proximity to Cribbs Causeway and with great access to the M4/M5.
“Pirate Studios will use the building to manufacture state of the art rehearsal studios to support their ever growing network. We are pleased to welcome Pirate Studios to Patchway Trading Estate which has shown its commitment to the city where it all began for the company.”
Pirate Studios provides 24 hour facilities for producers, vocalists, DJs, band members, dancers and podcasters.
