A booming Internet advertising company has signed the lease for its new Southampton offices in record time, completing in just seven days. Switch Concepts, an Internet technology company that builds and provides next generation adserving platforms for online businesses has signed a five-year flexible lease for Salisbury House, 27 Salisbury Road in Totton. The 3,400 sq ft quality office suite on the edge of the New Forest, near Southampton, is owned by Worcestershire-based Barberry Developments and was being marketed by Keygrove Chartered Surveyors.
Barberry development surveyor Alex Watson said: “For a tenant to view a property, sign a lease and move in, all in just seven days is very unusual. However, Switch Concepts is expanding fast and was in desperate need of more office space. To help the company get up and running as quickly as possible, we granted early access to the offices so it could move in its equipment and ensure IT connections were in working order.”
The self-contained office suite is located in Totton’s district centre within a retail parade that includes Lloyds Pharmacy, a Post Office and a number of estate agencies. The property is also close to Totton College, one of the larger educational establishments in the Southampton area.
Southampton-based Keygrove Chartered Surveyors acted on behalf of Barberry Developments for the letting.
Tom Barnett, owner of Switch Concepts, said: “Switch is at the cutting edge of the rapidly expanding global digital advertising industry with a growing team to match demand. We chose the office suite at Salisbury Road because it has been modernised to a high standard and the landlord was able to meet our need to move at very short notice.”
