LK2 Group sports, leisure and architecture specialist, has bolstered its team in London following demand for growth in the South.
James Gregory – an experienced sports consultant in the industry – has brought his specialisms of GIS, heat mapping and project management to LK2’s London offering. James will be joined by sports law specialist Gaby Sims, who will be enhancing LK2’s bespoke service to its existing and future clients in the field of sports mitigation and rationalisation through expert advice, guidance and support.
LK2 has a long-standing presence in London and its team is keen to expand its network in the city, greater London and the M25 corridor. The appointment of both James and Gaby in London reflect the business’ commitment to the city and LK2’s strategic plans for growth.
Gaby, who recently completed her masters in sport law, has joined the firm as a sport & leisure strategic advisor. Speaking of her new role she said: “I’m very excited to be developing my career in sports and leisure with LK2, it’s my passion and I can’t wait to support the senior team in shaping our sports law offering.
“LK2 is a forward-thinking business and as part of my role, I’ve been given the opportunity to work on a number of exciting schemes across the UK to incorporate sport, leisure, health and wellbeing into communities. I look forward to putting my knowledge of planning mitigation, scoping studies and sports law into action and support both LK2’s new and prospective clients.”
James has joined the LK2 team from a leading sports facilities consultancy and will be the team leader in London and the South. Throughout his career he has developed a wealth of experience in the industry by leading on a range of high-profile facility and playing pitch strategy projects, he has a wealth of experience with both the public and private sector and working with National Governing Body of Sports.
Speaking of his new role James said: “For the past four years I have continued to build my career in sport and leisure and have extensive experience in survey consultation design and consulting. Before making the move to join LK2, I had collaborated with LK2 through my work and was impressed by their ambition and varied portfolio of clients nationally.
“My new role is a great opportunity for me to continue developing my career and to actively shape the business and LK2’s reputation in the capital. We have lots of exciting plans in the pipeline and I am pleased to be part of this progression.”
