Office fit out and refurbishment specialist Overbury has appointed a new Operations Director to oversee project delivery on the firm’s projects across the North of England and Scotland.
Peter Allan comes to Overbury with a strong background in fit out, refurbishments and frameworks. With 24 years’ experience in construction, fit out and contracting for some the country’s largest firms including Royal Bank of Scotland, Styles & Wood, Turner & Townsend and Lendlease. Mr. Allan has extensive experience both client-side and working within a contracting firm.
“Overbury is synonymous with quality and the opportunity to join such an organisation at a time when the Northern market is strong made the decision an easy one,” said Mr Allan. “Having known and admired the business for many years, since they were a key delivery partner during my time at RBS, it’s an organisation I always thought I would end up working for.”

Born and raised in East Lothian, Mr Allan began his career in Scotland, and said: “although Manchester is very much my home now, it will be great to spend some time supporting the Overbury team in Glasgow, Manchester and Leeds. I’m looking forward to meeting up with old contacts across the Central Belt of Scotland.”
Along with his diverse experience in contracting, Mr. Allan also spent two years as a full-time Professional Rugby Referee with Scottish Rugby, taking his skills to the Heineken Cup and RBS 6 Nations.
Overbury’s team in the North of England and Scotland works across region from Manchester to Leeds and Scotland’s Central Belt, including projects for: Arup, BBC, EY, PwC, Network Rail, Scottish Police Federation, Hymans Robertson, Odeon, Walker Morris, Vodafone and Prudential.
