Commercial and industrial lettings specialist Towngate PLC has confirmed the first of the properties – Unit TL3 – to be constructed as part of Phase 2 at the Towngate Link site in Leeds is now pre-let.
The steelwork is now in place of the 57,500 sq ft detached, double portal framed unit, allowing the new occupier to tailor the space to their specific requirements.
Construction of the second warehouse – TL5 – is expected to commence in December 2019, with completion in 2020.
Situated on the well-established Cross Green Industrial Estate, the high specification buildings are strategically located for easy motorway access, and both comprise Grade A ground floor office accommodation with the option to add an additional floor if required.
In addition, the spaces benefit from a 12 metre eaves height, 45-metre-deep service yards, and ground level loading bays, which will help to increase circulation efficiency. The site has the added advantage of CCTV systems to improve security.
Towngate’s property manager Tom Lamb commented on the launch of the new units: “Phase two of the redevelopment is really starting to take shape and we cannot wait to welcome our first tenant to the site in March 2020.”
Building surveyor David Stanway, of David Stanway & Associates Ltd, oversaw the site clearance and preparatory work and commented on the project progress: “We are as pleased with the second phase of the build as the first — it’s exciting to see the programme taking shape. We’re looking forward to seeing the development unfold and tenants start to take their place.”
Phase one of the Towngate Link construction was complete earlier this year, with London City Bond and Beer Hawk taking occupation of the new units.
