Nottingham Hot Property (NHP) officially launched last week (26th September), with an event to thank its generous sponsors and introduce its charity of the year, Switch Up.
Held at Canalhouse, the evening was sponsored by Invest in Nottingham and celebrated the 15th anniversary of NHP. Each year, the event brings together the great and the good from the world of property to demonstrate their musical abilities – from singing to guitars solos – while also showing their ongoing support for young people across Nottingham by raising funds for charity.
The chosen charity for NHP 2019 is Switch Up, an organisation that uses a combination of physical activity mentorship, counselling and education to help young people with complex issues.
Marcellus Baz BEM, founder and CEO of Switch Up, said: “We’re delighted to be the chosen charity for this year’s Hot Property. The funding will significantly support the work we’re doing and help us offer more opportunities to link those from Nottingham’s most deprived communities with opportunities they didn’t know existed.”
Leona Bowery, events and projects manager at Invest in Nottingham – the department of Marketing NG that focuses on inward investment – said: “We’re delighted to sponsor this Hot Property event and it was great to see so many people come along to celebrate the launch. Nottingham needs events like this, as it not only boosts the profile of the city and the property sector, but also raises money for fantastic local organisations such as Switch Up.”
Max Kwan, one of the NHP organisers, added: “Each and every year we look for a way to make Hot Property bigger and better and I think this year is set to top them all. We’re delighted to officially launch the event by announcing that the event is a total sell out and we look forward to seeing you all in November!”
The sponsors for this year’s event include: Pulse Consult and Savills as headline sponsors as well as: B&M Installations, Couch Perry Wilkes, CPMG, Faithful + Gould, Fraser Brown, Samclo Construction and Shakespeare Martineau. Joining these are: Invest in Nottingham, the event’s media partner The Business Desk, PR agency Cartwright Communications, design agency Blimey Creative and design and print agency Ginger Root.
