Dixons Carphone, advised by global real estate advisor Colliers International, has acquired a modern distribution warehouse of 75,972 sq ft at Mid Kent Business Park in Snodland on a 15-year lease.
The facility is now being used by Dixons Carphone as a Customer Delivery Hub to service the Kent area and meet future customer demand. Mid Kent Business Park was formerly occupied by wholesaler Palmer & Harvey and was let to Dixons Carphone in an off-market transaction.
James Haestier, Director, Industrial & Logistics, Colliers International, said: “The move by Dixons Carphone further into the South East has allowed this leading consumer electronics retailer to better service a wider geographical location. Successfully acquiring Mid Kent Business Park in Snodland provided greater efficiencies for the client.”
Daniel Ickowicz, Asset Manager at Dixons Carphone, said: “Colliers International were very supportive in acquiring our new warehouse in Snodland, enabling us to be operating in time for our 2018 peak trading period. The facility, which became operational in late 2018, helps us provide a better customer experience and a more efficient delivery service to a wider customer base in Kent.”
Colliers International advised Dixons Carphone. Savills advised the landlord Avignon Capital.
