Manchester City Council’s planning and infrastructure manager has joined Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) as it boosts its planning and development consultancy team further.
James Shuttleworth has worked for Manchester City Council for 12 years and has been instrumental in shaping the city’s local planning framework and contributing to the recently published Greater Manchester Spatial Framework (GMSF), as well as the Northern Gateway SRF (Strategic Regeneration Framework) and Piccadilly SRF amongst others.
He now joins Lambert Smith Hampton as an associate director in the planning and development consultancy team. James will deliver enhanced support to public and private sector clients in the planning and delivery of regeneration and development across the city region and the North West and will build on LSH’s relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers to help facilitate and unlock strategic investment.

James is one of 14 new appointments in Lambert Smith Hampton’s planning and development consultancy teams and follows recent investment in the company’s Manchester, London, Bristol and Birmingham teams.
