A hot air balloon appeared in Bath this week as part of a regional tour in the build up to this year’s Jones Lang LaSalle Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
The Jones Lang LaSalle hot air balloon tethered during the Tuesday morning rush hour in the Maize Field on the A4, a key commuter route into the city. The balloon tether roadshow, which offers passers’ by the chance to win a balloon flight, has already visited Exeter, and from tomorrow (Wednesday 1 August) will arrive in Bristol.
Chris Hathaway, chairman of the 2012 organising committee, said: “The Fiesta attracts visits from right across the South West so this year we’re taking balloons out to the region in the lead up to the event. Morning balloon flights are often missed by commuters as they happen so early but the Tether Roadshow will be able to capture the attention of the public on their way to work.”
Jeremy Richards, head of Bristol office at Jones Lang LaSalle added: “The title sponsorship of this year’s Bristol Balloon Fiesta provides an ideal opportunity to enhance our brand in the South West. By taking the Tether Roadshow out to cities where we have our regional offices, we are giving local people a chance to win a hot air balloon ride.”
Jones Lang LaSalle is the title sponsor of the 2012 Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.
The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is one of the UKs top tourism events, bringing over half a million visitors to Bristol every year. This year the Fiesta will run from Thursday 9 to Sunday 12 August.
