Cardiff-based Cake Communications has recruited two new Account Executives as part of its ambitious growth plans.
The communications consultancy has appointed Jodie Phillips, 22 from Bridgend, and Kerry Edens, 29, from Northern Ireland.
In their respective positions, Miss Phillips and Miss Edens will take responsibility for managing client accounts and implementing communication campaigns to help clients achieve their business or organisational goals. They will be working across a variety of B2B and consumer clients.
Cake Communications was established in 2011 by former journalist and current Institute of Directors Young Director of The Year Sara Robinson. Based in Caspian Point in Cardiff Bay, Cake is an independent communications agency offering bespoke, multi-platform PR campaigns, digital strategy, marketing, social media management and training.
Cake’s client base includes organisations in the legal, education, sport, retail, property, technology, construction, environmental and charity sectors. Clients include the Cardiff Devils, acityabode, New Law, Dragon Taxis, The College Ystrad Mynach and Pier 64.
Having worked for two PR agencies in Cardiff, English Literature graduate Miss Phillips has an impressive track record of delivering effective PR strategies and social media campaigns for a diverse range of clients.
With her experience in running high-profile PR and marketing campaigns – including establishing the branding and website for the National Business Travel Network – Miss Edens brings a wealth of expertise and a passion for sustainability which she plans to use to help Cake expand its client base in the environmental sector.
Miss Phillips said: “I’m excited to join such a creative and forward-thinking agency. I am looking forward to becoming a key part of Cake’s bright future.”
Miss Edens said: “Cake really appealed to me because of the firm’s commitment to CSR, which is something I’m really passionate about. I believe my experience in communications, event management, social media, media monitoring and government behavioural change projects will help the company achieve its ambitious growth plans.”
Sara Robinson, Managing Director of Cake, said: “I am thrilled to welcome Jodie and Kerry to the team. Their talent and enthusiasm are exactly what we need to take the business to the next level.”
