Business rescue and recovery specialist, Begbies Traynor, has been announced as the second tenant to take up residence in central Sheffield’s Westfield House.
The group has taken 5,400 sq ft of space on the third floor of the eight-storey building, which has undergone a multi-million GBP refurbishment, joining recently announced tenants Bluestone Credit Management, alongside owners Westfield Health.
The ten-year deal, brokered by the Sheffield office of Knight Frank on behalf of health and wellbeing provider Westfield Health with Ben Spencer from Wake Smith Solicitors providing Westfield’s legal advice, sees Begbies Traynor relocate from former premises at Kendal House on Scotland Street.
Peter Whiteley, partner and head of Knight Frank’s Sheffield office, said: “Following a recent first letting at Westfield House to Bluestone Credit Management, we can announce that Begbies Traynor will be taking a significant portion of the third floor over a ten-year lease with an estimated move in date of October 2018, following final fit-out work.
“Westfield House is now fully on the market after an extensive refurbishment to the interior and exterior of the property by owners Westfield Health and its prime location adjacent to the Heart of The City phase two development makes it a highly desirable place for businesses to operate from.
“Westfield Health has brought 30,000 sq ft of fully refurbished office accommodation to market at a time when supply for quality, central office space in the city is relatively limited.”
Situated on Charter Row, Westfield House delivers 80,000 sq ft of high specification city centre offices and is wholly owned by Westfield Health, which occupies 50,000 sq ft of space in the building following a move from previous Division Street headquarters in 2016.
Kris Wigfield, managing partner at Begbies Traynor, said: “Our move to Westfield House comes at a time of active expansion with a number of recent recruitments at Begbies Traynor.
“The property is well suited to our needs and locates us close to the banks and in the heart of the business community, which is where we need to position the company. We have also been able to create bespoke, modern meeting rooms within the office, which is something we have been lacking at our current premises.”
Westfield House is close to the newly re-developed The Moor shopping and leisure facilities and well placed for access to food and drink outlets on Division Street and the Devonshire Green area.
Dave Capper, Chief Executive at Westfield Health, said: “We’re thrilled to secure our second tenant here at Westfield House and look forward to welcoming Begbies Traynor into their new home. As a leading health and wellbeing provider, we’re proud to offer high quality office space in a prime location, supporting employees to be healthy and productive.”
The property’s amenities include dedicated shower facilities, business lounge, cycle parking, comfort cooling, raised floors and flexible office suites, which can be configured for tenants’ requirements.
Begbies Traynor employs 35 staff at its Sheffield office and operates throughout the UK delivering a wide range of business recovery and insolvency services alongside a suite of services for personal insolvencies.
