41 Quay Street, a mid terraced high street retail unit, has been sold to Carmarthen County Council. The property, totalling 1,918 sq ft, was sold in February 2018 for an undisclosed amount. It is understood the property is to be used as an information hub.
Rhys Williams, Partner at Emanuel Jones who represented the vendor, commented:
“It’s always pleasing to see councils taking a proactive approach by investing in town centres. The hope is that this sort of investment will stimulate further development. A similar approach has been seen in Llanelli with the acquisition of retail units along Stepney Street by the council.”
