Construction of a new production and distribution facility for a global leader in sterilisation monitoring for the health sector has reached practical completion, Stoford Developments has announced.
Stoford was appointed by Albert Browne Ltd as development manager on the freehold design and build project on a prime 4.5 acre site at Watermead Business Park, Rayns Way, Syston, Leicester. The contractor was A&H Construction.
Albert Browne, a wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Steris Corporation, produces chemical indicators and has become the technological leader in the field of sterilisation monitoring.
The 78,000 sq ft new production and distribution site includes offices and 20,000 sq ft expansion space. It marks a major investment in the region and will provide the company with the facilities and space to grow the business.
Stoford director Alex Morgan said: “Working alongside Albert Browne Ltd, the Steris Corporation, and landowners Raynsway Properties, we have been able to deliver a high quality production facility, built to suit their specific requirements. It’s also great news for the region, reinforcing investment in the East Midlands and safeguarding jobs at a major global company with the potential to grow further.”
Watermead Business Park is the only large, premium quality office development on the north side of Leicester. The 63-acre site is ideally located, fronting the A607 at its junction with the A46, overlooking Watermead Country Park.
