George Koch Sons Europe Ltd has relocated to newly refurbished office space in Lichfield city centre.
The company, which is a world leader in the design and supply of surface treatment and paint finishing systems for the automotive and industrial markets, has taken 4,541 sq ft of grade A space on the first floor of City House in Lichfield.
The deal was agreed by joint agents, Cushman & Wakefield and Kingston CPC on behalf of landlord, EH Smith. The building was refurbished last year and relaunched in November 2017.
City House is part of Lichfield’s City Wharf, a development of 12 buildings located adjacent to the city’s railway station.
Andrew Buckman of Kingston said: “The letting to George Koch shows that there is a good level of interest in high quality office space in Lichfield. The company needed to keep its high quality image and location for both staff and clients. City House has been able to meet these needs.”
David Rigby, Associate in Cushman & Wakefield’s Office agency team commented: “We are delighted that George Koch’s have chosen to relocate to City House. The move has enabled the company to expand into highly sought after grade A space in an accessible location in Lichfield city centre.”
Neal Bestwick of E H Smith Holdings Ltd added: “We are pleased to have let the first floor of City House so quickly after its refurbishment which reflects the level of demand for this type of accommodation in central Lichfield. The ground floor has recently gone under offer so we hope to have let the whole property within 6 months of refurbishment which would exceed our expectations.”
