Knight Frank, the global property adviser, has announced the senior appointment of John McClymont. John joins the valuations team as Partner. John will focus on the growing need to provide detailed financial appraisals and analysis for clients in a dynamic valuation environment.
With the complexity of the markets and ever changing commercial and residential landscape, the need to model a range of valuation scenarios is key to the development of the valuation business.
John will work closely with the team to guide, advise and create alternative valuation models to assess investor returns and development outcomes. John’s role will ensure that the services valuations offer across the business continue to add value for our clients.
John will report directly to global head of valuations, Rupert Johnson, supporting the service line, which totals in excess of 180 people across the UK.
Knight Frank is the second largest provider of valuations to all three IPD indices, and has recently won mandates from Aviva, Kames Capital, Aberdeen Standard, CCLA, NewRiver Retail, BlackRock, Ediston and Norges Bank. Knight Frank is also a key provider to all active lending banks.
Rupert Johnson, Global Head of Valuations at Knight Frank, commented: “John possesses the rare combination of market facing awareness gained from direct exposure to capital markets transactions, with a great technical and analytical ability, combined with a deep and thorough knowledge and understanding of financial modelling and analysis”
Prior to joining the firm, John previously held positions at Cushman &Wakefield, Hermes and CBRE.
