The £1 million renewal of Cardiff Bay Business Centre is finished with the completion of its second phase of works.
Owned and run by Tata Steel subsidiary UK Steel Enterprise, the prestigious business centre is home to 49 companies, covering a wide range of business activities.
The makeover has seen Forgeside House, part of the CBBC complex, refurbished and renewed in the initial phase. Now Titan House has been upgraded in major works, improving the public spaces and offices.
CBBC is in a prime location with links to the M4, as well as proximity to Cardiff city centre.
Tenants range from IT firms to a superbly fitted out personal training business, The Studio.
UK Steel Enterprise Manager in Wales, Glyn Thomas, explained: “CBBC is a versatile business centre offering a range of accommodation. As well as state of the art offices, we have workshops and business units of various sizes which can cater for a range of types of businesses.”
UK Steel Enterprise has invested heavily in CBBC, making it a superb business centre fit for the modern era.
The second phase of the modernisation programme was carried out by local building company EvaBuild Interiors. Director Daniel Townsend commented:”We are very pleased with the results and delighted to have carried out this work for
UKSE on this phase of the project.”
One of CBBC’s attributes is excellent parking. “The site already offers ample parking for tenants and visitors and has excellent links to major routes, which is very important for our tenants,” said Mr Thomas.
UK Steel Enterprise also owns and runs the Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre, which was recently doubled in size to cope with demand for its offices and workshops.
Across Britain, UK Steel Enterprise has invested heavily to provide top quality business accommodation for tenants – £33 million across its sites around the UK.
“As an organisation UK Steel Enterprise has considerable experience in providing high standard accommodation for businesses. We understand that they want a modern environment with the very latest facilities, and to be part of a business community of like-minded people,” said Mr Thomas.
Particularly important is flexibility. “We know that businesses can grow and develop very rapidly and that plans to can change. This is why we offer easy-in, easy-out tenancy arrangements.”
As well as this, the organisation offers financial support, in equity or loan deals up to £1 million.
