Business and financial advisers Grant Thornton UK LLP continues to invest in its corporate and wealth management advisory expertise in the East Midlands with a raft of senior appointments and promotions.
The firm has added corporate finance specialists Paul Kithoray, Andrew Lane and Harry Walker, and boosted its wealth advisory team with the promotion of Matt Crawshaw to Associate Director.
It has also made nine promotions at Senior Manager, Manager and Executive level in its East Midlands’ team.
A well-known figure in the Midlands corporate finance arena, Paul Kithoray’s appointment marks his return to Grant Thornton and its Advisory Services team after two years at PwC. He was previously Associate Director at Grant Thornton for over nine years, and in his new role at the firm, he will provide a range of financial due diligence services to businesses, investors, banks and Private Equity houses.
Andrew Lane joins Grant Thornton as an Associate Director and brings extensive experience in financial due diligence. Like Paul, Andrew will provide a range of financial due diligence services to businesses, investors, banks and Private Equity houses. He is also re-joining Grant Thornton, having previously been in the Advisory Services team at the firm for eight years.
The third senior hire, Harry Walker, specialises in advising private and medium sized businesses. With Grant Thornton since 2009 and based at the firm’s offices across the South West, he now moves to the East Midlands to take up the new role of Associate Director in the firm’s regional corporate advisory team.
The firm’s Midlands’ wealth advisory team has been boosted by the promotion of Matt Crawshaw to Associate Director. With the firm since 2008, Matt specialises in providing wealth advice to individuals, trusts and corporates.
Also moving into the advisory team is Avneet Jaspal, who has been with the firm for four years and transfers from the assurance practice.

Also in the East Midlands, Grant Thornton has made nine promotions at its Leicester office – Claire Wright is now Senior Manager, Matt Norris and Devika Kothari-Kurji are promoted to Manager, Ashley Friedrichs to Assistant Manager, and Tara Ward, Nitin Ruda, Arti Mehta, Sagar Tank and Nancy Brown are promoted to Executive.
Grant Thornton’s East Midlands regional office in Leicester has 160 staff and provides business and financial advice to dynamic organisations in the East Midlands.
