Leading real estate adviser, GVA has made two key appointments to strengthen its retail team, particularly in the Midlands where significant opportunity exists.
Richard Jones and Guy Sankey have joined the business from LSH and bring with them substantial expertise in the region’s retail and leisure sector, having advised clients on developments across the Midlands.
Richard, who was formerly Head of Retail and Leisure at LSH, joins GVA as a Director, while Guy will join the business as a Senior Surveyor.
The appointments of Richard and Guy support GVA’s position as having the strongest regional presence of any commercial real estate consultancy.
Stephen Cowperthwaite, Head of Retail at GVA, said: ““The retail and leisure market is complex and continually evolving so having a strong team in place with specialist regional market knowledge ensures that we are able to provide our clients with strategic advice based on solid insight.
“The Midlands represents an exceedingly fertile market when it comes to the retail and leisure sectors and the addition of Richard and Guy ties in with our strategy of growing our national retail and leisure team that is built upon a strong regional presence and which complements our existing full service offer.”
Nationally, GVA’s Retail and Leisure team provides specialist retail property advice on over 15 million sq ft of mixed-use development, acts for in excess of 100 retailers and manages 3.5 million sq ft of retail developments.
