Property agency, Barker Storey Matthews has confirmed the freehold sale of the former British Red Cross premises in Newmarket, on which it acted for the seller.
The self-contained, 98.63 sq m (1,062 sq ft), single storey Dellors Yard building on Mill Hill in the Suffolk town is the new base for White Tara – a clinic and salon offering complementary therapy, beauty and health treatments – which opened for business at its new premises earlier this month (August).
Michele Hales is the founder and owner of White Tara which she established in 2007. The business had been based, for the past seven years, on All Saints Road, Newmarket in leased premises.
At Dellors Yard, the White Tara clinic and salon will expand its range of therapies and treatments available in an increased number of private treatment rooms and a studio space is being developed for hosting fitness and exercise classes.
Michele Hales said, “Our new home at Dellors Yard gives us the freedom and space to expand the business that we just didn’t have in leasing the unit at All Saints Road.
“We can add to our roster of therapists and the portfolio of treatments offered and take the business in a new direction with a dedicated studio space.
“The premises could well have been purpose built for just such a business as White Tara and our clients will be delighted with more on-site parking.”
The freehold of the premises was marketed at a guide price of £190,000.
While the final price achieved on sale remains client confidential, Barker Storey Matthews confirms that purchaser interest was strong and attracted a number of offers.
