Bruton Knowles has appointed Matthew Goaley as an associate at its office in Birmingham.
Matthew joins the firm’s valuation team from DVS Property Specialists, the specialist property arm of the Valuation Office Agency (VOA), where he worked for seven years, having joined as a graduate in 2009.
As a valuer, Matthew’s skills include general practice valuations, Red Book valuations, asset valuations, compulsory purchase and compensation and other statutory valuations. He will assist Bruton Knowles’ specialist valuation team in advising a range of clients, including local councils and other public sector bodies.
While at DVS, Matthew’s clients included the Department for Work and Pensions, Ministry of Defence, HMRC and NHS England.
Ian Pitt, partner and head of Bruton Knowles’ Birmingham office, said: “Matthew joins us at a time when we are seeing increased demand for specialist valuation services, which continues to be a growing and significant part of our business.
“Matthew’s experience at the DVS and the skills he brings with him will be a major benefit to the office.”
