National recording and DJ studio operator Pirate Studios Ltd has tuned in to Greater Manchester after opening a studio in a property secured by real estate advisors Colliers International.
The London-based business with 11 locations in England and Wales has opened a recording and practice studio for musicians and bands at Unit 5, Sovereign Enterprise Park, Salford after taking a 10-year lease on the 6,730 sq ft premises.
All Pirate Studios’ locations are open 24/7, come fully equipped with drums, mics, amps PAs and storage lockers, expert acoustic treatment, the OpenLIVE hi-res music recording and distribution platform, enabling artists to record their live performances and the chance to play live to viewers via weekly Pirate Live sessions.
The industrial and logistics team at the Manchester office of Colliers acted on behalf of Mr and Mrs H D Walmsley, the landlord of Unit 5, while fellow commercial property agency Savills represented Pirate Studios.
In a separate deal, Colliers sold the 8,255 sq ft unit 12 & 3,224 sq ft unit 14, Bumpers Lane, Sealand Industrial Estate, Chester for an undisclosed sum to Chester-based property developer G Walker Properties Ltd on behalf of Grafton Merchandising GB Ltd.
The deals were secured jointly by John Sullivan, director, industrial and logistics and Laura Wilbourn, surveyor, industrial and logistics, both of whom are based at the Manchester office of Colliers International.
