Almost a hundred of Shropshire’s most influential business leaders met last week at a special event hosted by a local firm of property experts to discuss the major issues facing the residential and commercial property markets.
Nock Deighton staged its second annual Spring Property Conference at Shrewsbury Football Club’s Greenhous Meadow stadium, where a number of leading solicitors, chartered surveyors, bankers, estate agents, and property developers from across the county came together to debate ‘Finance and Risk’ in the property industry.
Amongst the guest speakers at the conference was Peter Starbuck FCMI, FRICS, FCIOB, PhD, who has advised the Government on a range of housing initiatives and is founder of the award-winning Telford Housing Company Ltd. Also giving presentations were Terry Jones, of local law firm Terry Jones Solicitors, Chris Hyde, Branch Manager at Handelsbanken, Shrewsbury, and James Burgoyne, of insurance brokers Brunel Professional Risks.
David Perrin, Director for Nock Deighton, commented: “We’re absolutely delighted with how our second Property Conference was received. To get such a fantastic turnout, similar to last year’s first event, is a great reflection on Shropshire’s well-deserved reputation as one of the UK’s most sought-after locations for property hunters.
“The calibre of our guest speakers was only matched by the high quality of their informative presentations, and the level of debate they sparked amongst the attendees.”
