Global material handling equipment manufacturer Crown Lift Trucks Ltd has taken a five-year lease on two units spanning more than 25,650 sq ft at Winwick Quay Business Park, Warrington.
Acting on behalf of Coal Pensions Properties Ltd, landlord of the business park, the Manchester office of real estate advisors Colliers International let the 13,419 sq ft unit 12 and 12,235 sq ft unit 14 at Cameron Court at a rent of £4.95 per sq ft to the worldwide developer, manufacturer and supplier of forklift trucks.
The global headquarters of Crown Lift Trucks are in New Bremen, Ohio, USA, with regional headquarters in Germany, Australia, China and Singapore. It has more than 13,000 employees worldwide and operates a service and distribution network that exceeds 500 retail locations in over 80 countries.
Winwick Quay – strategically located three miles north of Warrington town centre and close to Junction 9 of the M62 – is one of the largest multi-let business parks in the North West of England with fully refurbished units ranging in size up to 25,000 sq ft and arranged over Cameron Court, Chetham Court and Colville Court.
The business park has attracted a wide range of occupiers including SafeStore, Aldi, Bunzl, Autoglass, Pure Gym, Storage King, LA Bowl and Jump Warehouse.
Laura Wilburn, senior surveyor, industrial and logistics at the Manchester office of Colliers, secured the letting jointly with fellow real estate agency Knight Frank and said: “Sealing the deal for Crown Lift Trucks proves the enduring demand from industrial occupiers for high quality, refurbished premises in strategically located business parks such as Winwick Quay.”
