The Manchester-based Building Surveying team at JLL have recently completed a major common area refurbishment at LGIM Real Assets’ One Piccadilly Gardens.
Legal & General Real Assets, the owners of One Piccadilly Gardens, appointed JLL to manage the refurbishment of the reception area, lift lobbies and toilet facilities to a Grade A standard. Working closely with main contractor Flexible Business Interiors and interior designer Firebox Design, the JLL team delivered the six-month project on time and to budget while working in the fully-occupied building.
One Piccadilly Gardens opened in 2003 as part of the redevelopment of Manchester’s Piccadilly Gardens. The building, which provides more than 150,000 sq ft of office space over six floors, is home to JLL itself and global investment company BNY Mellon.
Peter Lees, director, at JLL, said: “There’s a wealth of businesses looking for office accommodation in Manchester at the moment, with demand from local, national and multinational firms. As a result, the refurbishment market is strong in the city, with landlords seeking to improve their property assets in order to attract potential occupiers in a competitive market.”
