CBRE’s Southampton office joined 15 other teams up and down the country as part of CBRE’s 2016 #Row50 which saw teams of five row 50kms raising money for CBRE’s UK charity partner, Shelter.
CBRE Southampton’s South Coast Crew – Chris Pearson, Liam Small, Stephen Whitworth, Tej Singh and Callum Paddock – completed the 50km in 3 hours and 36 minutes making them one of the fastest teams to complete the full distance.
In 2015 CBRE UK announced a two-year partnership with Shelter to raise £500,000 which it has already achieved. In August this year, it said it would be extending the partnership until 2018 and pledged to raise £1,000,000. The #CBRERow50 has raised almost £7,000 with Southampton contributing £367.00.
Commenting on the event, James Brounger Regional Managing Director for CBRE South Central said: “This was a great team effort, not only from those rowing but the whole office which has been supporting the Shelter Charity partnership over the last two years. As one of the smaller regional offices, finishing in just over 3.5 hours was in touch with the fastest crews!”
