Stunning new images, showing in further detail how Chamberlain Square will look once complete, have been released by the developer behind the Paradise scheme.
The images, showing One Chamberlain Square from ground level, offer an accurate depiction of what the new restaurants, bars and shops will look like. The refurbished square will feature high quality retail, mature trees and attractive public leisure space.
Two new pedestrianised streets will also be created; Centenary Way, connecting Chamberlain Square to Centenary Square – which will be the same width as New Street – and Congreve Street, which will widen and open up the existing Congreve Passage, offering a new connection across to Summer Row and the Jewellery Quarter. These new walkways will frame many of the new views opened up as part of the demolition work and become attractive new thoroughfares.
The CGIs also hint at how Chamberlain Square, along with the new retail offering, will complement the civic buildings which sit opposite One and Two Chamberlain Square. The Town Hall, Council House and Museum and Art Gallery will offer an attractive backdrop for people to eat, socialise and spend time.

Construction of One Chamberlain Square is now under away, with completion expected in autumn 2018. The public realm enhancements to Chamberlain Square will also be implemented during this period and the second speculative office building, Two Chamberlain Square designed by Birmingham’s Glenn Howells Architects, will complete in early 2019.
The Paradise redevelopment is being brought forward through Paradise Circus Limited Partnership (PCLP), a private-public joint venture with Birmingham City Council. Argent is the development manager.
