As the Christmas story goes, CRT Property Investments Ltd, a subsidiary of the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, has room at the inn for Samaritan’s Purse this Christmas, providing the charity with free use of its 37,700 sq. ft. commercial unit on New York Industrial Park, North Tyneside.
Samaritan’s Purse will use Unit 1, New York Way, to store and pack shoeboxes, filled with toys, hygiene products, stationery and other essential items for seven weeks in the run up to Operation Christmas Child. The boxes are then delivered to children from across the globe that are living in deprivation and in need of support.
Property Investment and Development Director for the Coalfields Regeneration Trust, Shaun O’Brien comments: “We can often take the spirit of Christmas for granted, but seeing the difference that this campaign makes to the lives of these children really does make you thankful for what you have.
“As the only organisation dedicated to supporting coalfield communities across the UK, we wanted to extend that support a little further in the run up to Christmas. We’re so pleased that we have been able to help Samaritan’s Purse and to pass on our best wishes to those who most deserve it.”
Executive Director of Samaritan’s Purse UK, Simon Barrington comments: “As millions of children across the globe unpack their shoebox, they’ll know that they are loved and not forgotten. Every year we are overwhelmed by the generosity of churches, businesses, schools and individuals around the UK and this year is proving to be no different.
“We cannot thank CRT Property Investments enough for their help. Thanks to their donation, the money that we have saved on unit costs can go back into helping people across the world who need it the most.”
