Primark has opened a new store located at Lemon Quay, in Truro, Cornwall. The store, which was officially opened by the Mayor of Truro, Councillor Rob Nolan, is the first Primark in Cornwall. It showcases two floors of fashion over 34,400 sq ft of retail space and will create 187 new jobs. The opening brings the number of Primark stores in the UK to 174 and 321 for the company.
The store’s design and layout builds on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit concept featuring the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashions including footwear, accessories as well as lingerie and homeware. Employees in ‘back of house’ enjoy open spaces that are filled with natural light and designed with modern features and comforts such as free Wi-Fi, a ‘Recharge café’ with a fully equipped kitchen area and bright décor. This space is designed to feel like a home away from home for employees.
