Surveyor Grace Shackell is feeling on top of the world after joining commercial property adviser Knight Frank in Cardiff.
Grace, 22, moved to the Cardiff office from Knight Frank in London – and shortly afterwards she climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa with other Knight Frank graduates to help raise over £36000 for charity.
Grace said: “It’s been a tremendous few weeks for me. First, with moving back to my home city and joining the Knight Frank team at a very exciting time for Cardiff, and also travelling to Tanzania to raise money for Land Aid, Mary’s Meals and Cancer Research.”
The team of 14 graduates from Knight Frank LLP climbed Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest mountain, in aid of three charities. The six-day trek took them to the summit of the Uhuru Peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, known as the “Roof of Africa”. The mountain peaks at 5,895m above sea level – almost 20 times higher than the Shard and higher than both Everest Base camps.
Matt Phillips, managing partner of Knight Frank’s Cardiff office, said: “Grace spent time with us on work experience a couple of years ago and we are delighted to welcome back someone who is clearly getting used to heading for the top!”
