An award-winning technology recruitment specialist is set to double its workforce by the end of the year after witnessing 114% growth during the last three years.

Cardiff-based CPS Group is aiming to end the year with a 40-strong headcount and £13m turnover, making it the largest, fastest growing and most profitable privately owned recruitment consultancy in Cardiff.

The business, which was founded in 2003 by Jason Grandin and Spencer Symmons, specialises in sourcing and supplying permanent and interim staff for the IT, ERP and Engineering sectors.

In the last year, it placed in excess of 1000 candidates into jobs across three continents, with an end client base ranging from SMEs to global PLCs and FTSE organisations.

Its fast growth has seen the company receive industry recognition in the Recruiter Hot 100, Recruiter Fast 50 and Recruitment International Magazine Top 500 agency listing.

Having recently scooped Employer of the Year at the Cardiff Business Awards, CPS Group is renowned for being a great place to work. With a strong training, development and reward programme in place, it ranked 18th out of 6,000 UK based businesses in the Best Workplaces 2014 listing.

Jason Grandin, managing director of CPS Group, said: “I have been very fortunate to oversee the growth of CPS Group from an idea on a piece of paper 13 years ago to the successful company we are today.

“Our staff are our business and we can only achieve our ambitious growth plans with a talented team behind us.  We have constantly striven to ensure we offer an environment in which every one of our employees can succeed and push themselves whilst providing support, coaching and direction to enhance their careers. We also make working for CPS Group fun and ensure everyone in the company knows they are valued.”

As the company gears up for its next phase of growth, which will see it open up additional offices in London and Europe to service its expanding client base, it has unveiled a new brand identity and website.

Jason continued: “Since we launched in 2003, the business has grown and evolved considerably and we felt that our old identity no longer reflected the business we are today – a dynamic, fast-growing, specialist tech recruiter.

“Over the past six months, we have been reviewing our brand and working with UpriseVSI we have looked at everything from our vision, mission and values, to our brand image, positioning and personality.

“We’re delighted to unveil the results of our hard work with a brand new look, which allows us to move forward in achieving our vision of becoming Europe’s leading technology recruiter.”

Robert Lloyd Griffiths, director of IOD Wales, said: “Many of the team at CPS are members of IOD and it is fantastic to see the business doing so well.

“Winning Employer of the Year at the Cardiff Business Awards demonstrates CPS’ commitment to being a responsible and engaging employer. I look forward to seeing the business continue to grow and deliver exemplary standards in its industry.”
