The Midlands office of real estate adviser Bilfinger GVA has made nine promotions to Director and Senior Director.
The promotions come from across a broad range of the company’s business units, representing the Offices, Investment, Lease Consultancy, Property Management, Land and Development, Energy and IT teams.
Sharon Walton, Guy Thompson and Mary Greaves from the Property Management team, Jason Shaw from IT and Mark Birks from Land & Development have been promoted to Senior Director; while George Jennings from the Offices team, Chris Norcup from Lease Consultancy, Barry Riley from Investment and Gareth Condy from the Energy team are all appointed as Directors.
Ian Stringer, Regional Senior Director, said: “The range of these promotions, covering such a broad spectrum of business units, is a clear demonstration of the strength of activity across all of our markets in the Midlands. We have seen a remarkable 12 months of activity for our teams in this region and these promotions are a strong reflection of the levels of hard work and commitment demonstrated by these individuals specifically and the wider business as a whole.”
The Midlands promotions are a reflection of the wider national picture, with Bilfinger GVA making 39 senior promotions across all of its 11 UK offices, strengthening 17 of its 23 national service lines.
Gerry Hughes, Chief Executive at Bilfinger GVA, comments: “These key promotions are as much about conveying our sense of purpose as they are a reflection of individual reward. We have a fantastic business that is echoed in our market standing, our trading performance and above all, our people. That talent we attract continues to be amongst the very best in our industry, and so it is pivotal we continue to invest in our retained people who we believe can steer this company towards its ultimate ambition.
“Our multidisciplinary, advisory-led business platform differentiates us from our closest and largest competitors, so we must leverage that point of difference. Empowering our existing talent is a key part of that process.”
