A rising star at leading commercial property consultancy Kirkby Diamond has attained a first class honours degree.
Surveyor Nathan George, aged 33, has worked for the consultancy for the past three years in its Bedford-based agency department.
He joined after completing a Diploma in Surveying Practice and then undertook a three-year BSc (Hons) Building Surveying course with The College of Estate Management, while continuing to work full time.
And Nathan exceeded all expectations when he attained a first class honours degree after completing the distance learning course, which was part-funded by Kirky Diamond.
Eamon Kennedy, partner and head of agency for Kirkby Diamond, which has offices in Milton Keynes, Luton and Bedford, said: “Nathan has demonstrated real commitment to his professional advancement by completing a rigorous degree while working full time and bringing up two young daughters with his wife. We’ve been impressed with how he has remained focused throughout and is now reaping the rewards of his efforts.”
Nathan is now planning to continue his career by undertaking the assessment for professional development (APC) graduate scheme with a view to becoming a chartered surveyor, so that he can offer an increased level of professional services to existing and new clients.
“It has been hard work but I’ve had lots of support from everyone at Kirkby Diamond, which has helped me a great deal when it came to assignments and discussing professional issues with the experts here,” he said. “I’m now looking forward to the next stage of my surveying career.”
