Commercial property developer Stoford has appointed a new development manager as it gears up for a busy 2016 with the construction of several major projects at sites across the UK.
Angus Huntley will work alongside joint managing director Dan Gallagher on industrial and distribution developments including Synergi – Irlam, Stonebridge Cross – Liverpool, and Discovery Park – Widnes.
The 26-year-old, from Solihull, will also provide support for other directors at the ambitious Birmingham-based company and explore new development opportunities. It marks a return to the firm that gave him his first big break.
Angus said: “After leaving university Stoford were kind enough to take me on for six months during which I gained invaluable experience as I began my property career.
“Having now worked for two first class property consultancies it feels great to be back at Stoford in what is a very exciting period in the history of the company, with developments amounting to millions of square feet of space already underway and many more in the pipeline.
“I’m looking forward to providing support on Liberty Property Trust’s speculative developments across the UK and working with Dan and the team on other projects.”
He joins Stoford from leading property consultancy Savills where he gained experience of out-of-town retail development, valuation and investment.
While at Savills he achieved the Assessment of Professional Competence (APC) to become a qualified chartered surveyor. Before joining Savills he worked as an office agent at GBR Phoenix Beard.
After leaving the University of the West of England, where he gained a Business in Property degree, he spent six months at Stoford gaining valuable experience of the commercial property industry.
Joint managing director Dan Gallagher said: “We got to know Angus well when he spent time with us gaining work experience and were impressed. We kept in touch and invited him to join Stoford when the right opportunity came along. He has the ability and the attitude to become a valuable member of the team and I am sure he will be successful.”
