David Browning, managing director of MediCity Nottingham, will be the guest speaker at the Nottingham City Business Club lunch taking place on Friday 19 February at the Park Plaza Hotel.
MediCity is based on the Boots campus at the centre of the new Enterprise Zone and is part of the BioCity Group, one of Nottingham’s biggest landlords and Europe’s largest life sciences incubator.
Launched two years ago, Medicity is an incubator designed to provide a stimulating and supportive business development environment for innovators in consumer healthcare, medical technology, diagnostics and beauty products. Its community now contains 30 entrepreneurial companies.
David applies more than thirty years of healthcare experience to MediCity, harnessing entrepreneurship to meet healthcare challenges by creating the optimal environment and personalised support for innovators.
He trained as a biomedical scientist within the UK National Health Service, and developed clinical diagnostics within Amersham International and J&J. He has also coached many companies through the UK Government’s Growth Accelerator programme.
At the event David will speak about how he is leveraging his knowledge and experience to help entrepreneurs solve healthcare challenges. He will also highlight some investment and export insights following a recent trip to China.
“I am sure that David will be a great speaker and look forward to welcoming him to the club ,” said Nic Elliott, president of the Nottingham City Business Club. “With more than thirty years experience, he will have some really useful insights to share with our members and guests and I look forward to hearing what he has to say.”
