Humberts have recently agreed the letting of 13 New Street, Honiton, Devon on behalf of their clients. The lock-up shop premises was available at quoting rent of £6,950 per annum and had frontage onto the busy part of New Street within the town centre area. The retail unit had an area of approximately 66.66 sq m (717 sq ft) plus WC facilities and kitchenette.
Stephen Richards who heads up the Commercial Department for Humberts comments “we had several offers for the shop premises before agreeing a letting. The property needed complete redecorating due to the last tenant’s business, being a tattooist and had street art and black paint which deterred a few prospective tenants”.
Humberts have also agreed the letting of 1 School Street, Sidford, Sidmouth on behalf of their clients. The lock-up shop premises had an area of 27.30 sq m (294 sq ft) plus store and WC facilities and was available at a rent of £5,000 per annum. The property was occupied by Sid Valley Alterations and has been let to another seamstress.
Stephen Richards comments “it is unusual to see a shop let for the same purposes from seamstress to seamstress in this occasion. The retail premises was ideally situated in a prominent position next to the cross roads of the A375 and A3052 and was obviously known as an established location for this business”.
