After successfully establishing themselves in Derby, the affordable women’s wear brand, Quiz, made their first move into Nottingham at the end of last year having been secured for the intu Victoria Centre.
Quiz opened their doors in December after agreeing terms for La Senza’s former 1,888 sq ft ground floor unit, which benefits from proximity not only to similar retailers such as Dorothy Perkins, but also receives strong footfall from the many restaurants that have just opened in the Clock Tower Dining Quarter that sits adjacent.
They became the 10 th retailer to open at the centre in 2015, out of a total 16 lettings, the remainder being to restaurants. Thaikhun, the Thai street food restaurant recently opened along with Tortilla, the casual dining Mexican eatery, and the American style restaurant Coast to Coast opened at the end of 2015.
The renovation looks to be a successful move, as Intu report footfall was up 20% over December.
Alan Pearson comments: “2016 is set to be another strong year for intu; more names are to be announced for the intu Victoria centre and it will mark the beginning of the re-developments at intu Broadmarsh.”
