Within six months of her joining, the Directors at FHP have appointed Kate Cholerton to become an Associate Director in the Professional Services Department.
Whilst presently based at the Nottingham office, following the Christmas break Kate is to be located primarily in the Derby office in order to enhance further FHP’s Professional Services presence within that market, while still feeding into the professional services team from Nottingham, which is eight strong.
Since joining in April, Kate has strengthened immeasurably the Professional Service Department’s ability to advise clients upon both compulsory acquisition and their business rates liabilities, having spent a significant proportion of her time advising the Broxtowe Borough Council and the Nottinghamshire County Council upon their entitlement to compensation following the impact of the NET2 system upon their land holdings.
Andrew Chapman, Director of FHP’s Professional Services Department, comments:
“The Directors believe the Professional Services department in Derby is an area in which the company can build an even greater market share. Whilst Kate will be based primarily at the Derby office she will spend one day a week at the Nottingham office in order to exchange ideas and share technical knowledge, which is a method we believe to have been a significant contributor to our successful approach in advising clients.
Alongside wishing her well, I look forward to assisting Kate in flying the flag for FHP’s Professional Service Department in Derby.”
Kate Cholerton comments:
“I am really looking forward to the challenge ahead and to striving to build upon the solid foundations already in place at FHP. Working alongside Jon Marriott, my main role will be to expand further the Professional Services Department in Derby, a goal that I am passionate about achieving, having lived and worked in Derbyshire most of my life.”Upon joining FHP, Kate brought with her over 25 years’ experience, having worked previously for the Valuation Office Agency based in its Derby office before leaving to join private practice where she held the position of Associate at Salloway and Director at Milner McCrea, before then subsequently joining the team at Telereal Trillium in London, which retains the responsibility for advising the Department for Work & Pensions and British Telecom upon their business rate liabilities.
