This month, the UK’s leading regeneration specialist, St. Modwen, has begun erecting the steel frame on a new 37,000 sq ft speculative warehousing/industrial unit at its Access 18 development, situated off junction 18 of the M5 in Avonmouth.
Pete Davies, Senior Development Manager for St. Modwen in the South West, said:
“The accommodation we are delivering at Access 18 is the only speculative unit of its size currently being built in the wider Bristol area and is on the back of our continuing confidence in the regional market.
“We also have planning consent to deliver a further two speculative units totalling 70,000 sq ft, with work expected to follow the first unit which will be ready for occupation in February 2016. In addition, we are progressing the new custom design warehousing facility for distribution firm Hermes Parcelnet Ltd. which will assist their expansion in the south west.”
The £150m commercial scheme can accommodate design and build opportunities from 10,000 sq ft to 300,000 sq ft, to rent or purchase, and has the capacity to accommodate up to 2,200,000 sq ft of employment space. The site is currently home to businesses including national paper distributor, Antalis; catering suppliers, Nisbet PLC; greetings card manufacturer, Budget Greetings Cards; Richard Austin Alloys and Flexipads World Class Ltd.
Access 18 is strategically located for firms looking to expand their operations across the region and any businesses interested in rent or purchase opportunities at Access 18 should contact St. Modwen agents, Alder King or Knight Frank.
