A firm of solicitors has moved to new offices in Derbyshire as it looks to expand its business.
Hawley and Rodgers of Loughborough, Nottingham and Bingham, will move from its existing offices in Derby Road, Long Eaton, to new premises nearby at 42 and 44 Market Place, which is owned and managed by leading property company London & Cambridge Properties (LCP).
The firm has agreed a five-year lease with LCP for its new space, which will see all existing Long Eaton staff transferring to Market Place, home to tenants such as Wilkinson Stores and Your Move estate agents.
Alan Mangham, managing partner at the firm, which has been offering personal and commercial legal advice for more than 70 years in the East Midlands, said the new office offers more usable space and superior facilities for meeting clients.
“It replaces our existing one on Derby Road, which trades as Thomas Solicitors incorporating Constantinou Solicitors,” he said.
“We purchased Thomas Solicitors in August 2013 and acquired Constantinou Solicitors in May 2014 and now the time has come to rebrand as ‘Hawley and Rodgers incorporating Thomas Solicitors’ and to move to more modern and user-friendly premises.
“Although not very far from our existing premises, the new Market Place office sits at the very centre of Long Eaton in close proximity to local estate agents, with the benefit of a large frontage, wide pavements and heavy footfall between national retailers.”
Matt Pegg, retail asset manager at LCP who worked to bring the solicitors to Market Place, said: “Market Place is a thriving area of the town and is the ideal location for Hawley and Rodgers, which is a well-known company in the area. We are pleased that it sees these offices as the place in which to grow the company further.”
