CBRE’s Leeds Building Consultancy team has been appointed as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer to manage the roofing works at British Land’s Meadowhall Shopping Centre in Sheffield. The work will be undertaken by Leeds-based contractor, Everlast Waterproofing Limited, with a contract value of circa £1.4 million.
The significant investment into the leading retail destination includes the application of new roof finishes to approximately 40% of the shopping centre. The project will involve over-roofing the original Trocal single ply membranes with a new Alumasc insulation board and bituminous felt roof covering.
The works are a continuation of the long-standing working relationship between British Land and CBRE, who currently co-ordinate planned maintenance works across the British Land shopping centre portfolio, nationally.
The Meadowhall roofing works will commence on site this month and are scheduled to be completed by the end of March 2016.
